I’ve recently received several emails about this one. It’s called the “Global Pension Plan” and promises to help you turn €30 into €55,000 or more!
I got the following email and decided to look into it:
“Hi Ben
Could you be kind enough to look into this opportunity for me, what’s your opinon on this one, sounds too good to be true!….has it got scam written all over it? it was passed on to me by friend.
thanks for your time
Phil”
Well, I had a good look at the site and tried to find out who is behind it and what is going on.
Rather than take up space here, please visit the main site:
Global Pension Plan - Is it a Scam?
Once you’ve read the report there, please feel free to comment on this blog or send me an email to the usual address.
Thanks,
Ben
*UPDATE 23/02/2008* - I’ve had to remove some comments as the blog was collapsing under the weight!
These comments have been archived and you can view them here:

*UPDATE 13/11/2008* - I’ve had a few problems with the blog over the past 24 hours which resulted in a restore from backup. Consequently you may find some rogue symbols dotted around the place - especially where there used to be a € or £ sign. Apologies for this but there are far too many for me to correct!
*UPDATE 22/12/2008* - Just for fun: The Global Pension Plan - Stella’s Updates
*UPDATE 16/06/2009* - Now that Stella is gone or dead or whatever - she’s not writing the updates in any case - let’s just remind ourselves of when the final date for GPP is (from the official site):
“20th of November, 2008
Deadline & General updateThe Final Deadline: 31st of January 2009
During the last week and half we have been closely in touch with the insurance company and the financier of this project and agreed the final deadline to be set on the above mentioned date. The current turbulent financial climate has created a great pressure to finish the program as soon as possible. This date is absolute and means, that we MUST reach the initially set target of 100.000 qualified members. Otherwise the program closes without payout.”
Note that Stella said “this date is absolute” so it was surprising when the new ‘admin’ posted this:
“10th of May, 2009
UpdateDear Global Pension Plan Members,
As per Trust Partner’s decision, we hereby announce the final closing date of Global Pension Plan: 06/30/2009 That is the 30th of June 2009.
The current number of fully qualified members is only slightly short of the 100.000 limit.
Trust Partner highly appreaciates your efforts and sends you best wishes and luck for the last month and a half.
Sincerely,
Admin”
*UPDATE 26/10/2009* - Apologies for the problems with the blog over the weekend. A new plugin caused the issues. All should be back to normal now…
Hypothetical
If this was a scam……Why would the program pay back money to people
who feel betrayed or misslead?
I know i wouln’t if i were a thief.

Melissa -If it were legal- they would have more contact details than a hotmail address… and their company would be registered. If they were legal there would be no problems providing something a little more permanent.
I really hope they do not start selling peoples’ IDs but asking and keeping colour copies of a passport is not legal in this country. My husband is a stockbroker and if they are given any colour copies they have to be destroyed. BUT this is another avenue they vould go down.
So that is what does seem a little dodgy… but selling IDs could make a lot of money- that could be more important than the £25 quid for some.

Hello
Someone wants to please write to GPP have a leader or leaders, those who are faithful members of GPP reporting that several messages on your page have a count of how many policies are being sold and should have comprando.GPP statistics of how many policies are sold, we can not allow this poor innocent people and wasting the little money they have, additional policies and 20,000 missing until 28 February as we know if he actually sold the policies, that are sold more and see the authorities must know that both the FBI, Interpol IC3 as the location of GPP, THE FBI, IC3 and Interpol should know this mail from GPP, support@global-final-step.net.
and the last message of GPP, and little information of little interest GPP and GPP and reliable partner to close the program with payments, I get the impression that
Partners Trust will not pay for the 100,000 members.

It seems that nobody has to GPP,
These people continue to sell additional policies without any control,
There is a count of how many policies are sold daily,
GPP is a total mess.

Well, frankly, I dont want to hear about Finnland, Milaysia or any other country. I cant access those, and if I could, I dont speak those languages!
I want to hear what is being done right here where I am, the good ol’ US of A.
I check my email everyday for a response from IC3. I know they are busy, but I am impatient!
I also contacted support@globalpension.net (that was on a previous page) to see about any updates, and have had no reply yet. Its been what, 3 days now I think. Is that still the right email address?
Glad you have a good sense of humor Faye!

Even if this is not a scam (*cough cough*) the company are operating illegally in the UK as they are not registered, or regulated so can not be offering financial services.
Comment by random passer by – January 13, 2010 @ 4:17 pm
THAT’S WHY THEY USE ASSURANCES COMPANIES AND BANKS AND PARTNERS, IT IS LIKE A FINANCER CONSULTANT , I THINK GPP ONLY COLLECT THE MONEY AND GROWN UP THE INITIAL AMOUNT BY MANY WAYS BANKS DO AND GOVERNMENT DO AND ANY TRADING SERVICE OR MONEY SOLUTION DO BUT I DON’T WANT TAKE PART OF GPP BUT IF IT IS NOT LEGAL AFTER 7 YEARS THEY STILL THERE IT MITGH BE A REASON…..

Comment by IF IT WALKS LIKE A DUCK.. – January 13, 2010 @ 4:55 pm
The website is NOT gone.
last update was 8/1.
Comment by Andy – January 13, 2010 @ 4:20 pm
Yes bla..bla
If the site is gone! It makes the investigation difficult. Let the authorities do their job.
Comment by CH – January 13, 2010 @ 4:18 pm
Maybe be more than £25 quid you have to lose- remember they have your ID. THAT is probably where ENORMOUS amounts of money can be made…
Even if this is not a scam (*cough cough*) the company are operating illegally in the UK as they are not registered, or regulated so can not be offering financial services.

About the autority in Malaysia it is to much bla bla for nothing can you beleive GPP still on internet selling policies for 7 years the authority fbi or what ever do nothing about those fraud for 7 years Gpp laft as back of everybody or maybe they continu to run because it is legal, I don’t know what to think about GPP but very weird ?????????? I can’t realy not say it is a scam because why GPP run that business for so long how they can be so transparent…..To another side if GPP have good intention they had already paid some members and if it is true GPP have so much trouble with the authority how come they still there they got a off money to give up but if GPP got all this trouble I don’t think they do that to make por people rich, I think they do that for them self, but who knows even the fbi can’t stop them so imagine, what I have to say if all members got them money at the end they will be lucky , I realy don’t know what to think about GPP but for sure GPP admin are more strong then any authority and internet genious!!!!
Comment by Melissa – January 13, 2010 @ 12:59 pm

The information we have obtained has been sent to the proper authorities for their handling. We have never really been involved in researching this scam, as we had other priorities to deal with. Still what little information we do come across we forward on. We have sent them the names of all the major promoter’s of GPP for them to contact, if they feel it is necessary to do so.
That has not stopped me, obviously, from warning people not to buy more policies because it is a scam. We just hope that some people listened to ours, and others here warnings. I am just glad there are many people warning people about GPP being a scam on all the forums.
