Avoid the scams, find out which Business Opportunities actually work
March 14, 2007
Filed under: General Opportunities, HYIPs — Ben @ 2:29 pm

I’ve recently received several emails about this one. It’s called the “Global Pension Plan” and promises to help you turn €30 into €55,000 or more!

I got the following email and decided to look into it:

“Hi Ben
Could you be kind enough to look into this opportunity for me, what’s your opinon on this one, sounds too good to be true!….has it got scam written all over it? it was passed on to me by friend.
thanks for your time
Phil”

Well, I had a good look at the site and tried to find out who is behind it and what is going on.

Rather than take up space here, please visit the main site:

Global Pension Plan - Is it a Scam?

Once you’ve read the report there, please feel free to comment on this blog or send me an email to the usual address.

Thanks,

Ben

*UPDATE 13/11/2008* - I’ve had a few problems with the blog over the past 24 hours which resulted in a restore from backup. Consequently you may find some rogue symbols dotted around the place - especially where there used to be a € or £ sign. Apologies for this but there are far too many for me to correct!

*UPDATE 22/12/2008* - Just for fun: The Global Pension Plan - Stella’s Updates

*UPDATE 16/06/2009* - Now that Stella is gone or dead or whatever - she’s not writing the updates in any case - let’s just remind ourselves of when the final date for GPP is (from the official site):

20th of November, 2008
Deadline & General update

The Final Deadline: 31st of January 2009
During the last week and half we have been closely in touch with the insurance company and the financier of this project and agreed the final deadline to be set on the above mentioned date. The current turbulent financial climate has created a great pressure to finish the program as soon as possible. This date is absolute and means, that we MUST reach the initially set target of 100.000 qualified members. Otherwise the program closes without payout.”

Note that Stella said “this date is absolute” so it was surprising when the new ‘admin’ posted this:

10th of May, 2009
Update

Dear Global Pension Plan Members,
As per Trust Partner’s decision, we hereby announce the final closing date of Global Pension Plan: 06/30/2009 That is the 30th of June 2009.
The current number of fully qualified members is only slightly short of the 100.000 limit.
Trust Partner highly appreaciates your efforts and sends you best wishes and luck for the last month and a half.
Sincerely,
Admin”

*UPDATE 26/10/2009* - Apologies for the problems with the blog over the weekend. A new plugin caused the issues. All should be back to normal now…

Oh no! Poor guy! The scary thing is that it is so easy to do!!! Just think how many people have invested in this?? And how much money GPP have made. Ofcourse, it would be lovely to recieve such a pay out, but as they say ‘if something is too good to be true then it probably is’ also if there has been so many programmes so similar to GPP that have been scams, then whats to say that this one isn’t exactly the same.
GPP have put so much into this “scam” i.e website & forums and they just keep going and going with the updates. If the updates didn’t mention that there seems to be endless amounts of policies left then I probably would have more faith, but thats what lost my faith to begin with - the fact that their website went down and as soon is was back up they were mentioning more and more policies to buy - MORE MONEY THAT THEY ARE ASKING FOR!!”
I used to convince myself that because the website used to keep coming back that they were genuine and why would they spend more money to keep the website up, but clearly to make more money!

I just wish that it would be over so people can stop thinking about it.

Not really - I put £25 in GPP ‘just in case’ but didn’t want to send ID in as if it turned really dodgy my husband could lose his job (stockbroker) … he is very cautious!

And after a little background research was fairly convinced it was a scam. I would love it to pay out as it would do a couple of skint friends huge favours.

My friends dad who heard about GPP first has lost a huge amount of money in scams, ‘investments’ and the like… he was a wealthy man- three kids at private school, he lost his half a million pound house through investments and is still in huge amounts of debt.

I know GPP is only small amounts of money and will not make you bankrupt- not even a night in a pub- but it is scary how a supposedly intelligent person can be conned out of so much money so many times.

I would love them to get caught!

Personally Faye, I would say 100% scam,

it would be lovely to think you could turn £25 into £55,000- but don’t think it’s possible.

Interesting, I wonder if it the same people behind these scams?

They’re so similar, and Judahlion seems to promote them (is he also involved?)

I would LOVE these people to get caught - It would be fascinating to know how they did it, organised it and how many people are involved in this

    @Faye,

Yes ICC/CPS had a website just like GPP’s. But they had a forum where the admin named “Ronald” answers some of members’ questions convincingly. Then they made a member their forum moderator and this idiot would defend and make excuses for them whenever there’s something odd. And like GPP, they forgot to pay for their domain and changed it once. But then one day, out of the blue, their website disappeared. I’m sure the 6,000 members NEVER saw it coming. They were, well, “hanging on to hope”. If you want to read more, just go here: http://www.moneymakergroup.com/lofiversion/index.php/t108942.html

As for GPP, the key is their domain annual expiration date which is December. So, their website will still be up until Dec 2010 then they will forget to renew it. After that, they will make a decision either make up another domain name or just call it a day. I CAN TELL YOU ONE THING 100% SURE : THERE WILL BE NO PAYOUT UNTIL THEY DECIDE TO DISAPPEAR.

I agree. I think, I am one of these people who was like yeah 25 quid, thats not a lot! N its a bonus if it pays out. I also believe that people should just forget about it now instead of feeding GPP with more ammo to con more people. I cant wait for the next update which I think will say a little bit of this… ” We still have a remaining 10,000 policies left which we must sell, deadline for this being 25th October 2015!!!”

I do find it a little ludicrous that people have faith in something so blatantly stupid. Maybe a £25 punt ‘just in case’ but having a total blind faith in this, when there is not a scrap of evidence it will pay out- just seems to be a little strange to me.

I guess uni taught me to question everything- GPP thrives on the lack of ability to question or think for themselves.

Just being told my Judahlion to put ‘faith in god’ seems enough for some. There are so many investments on his page which have been delaying payout and sending phony updates for years and none have seen payout. Yet some have a completely blind faith, money doesn’t come from nothing and no amount of faith in god or otherwise will make it come. How long will this faith/desparation go on for?

Some people have invested far more than £25 pounds, I know someone who invested £300 however he has now gone over the upper age limit for the payout. Some people have paid out for family and friends policies thinking that it will be ‘OK’ as the referral bonus will cover it.

I dodn’t know, they seem to have fooled a lot of people- they’re laughing all the way to the bank.
It fascinates me that there are die hard believers out there.

I can imagine the GPP crew sitting in their luxury cars, with a luxury lifestyle funded by the GPP faithful.

Well according to Wayne Mclean “talkshoe” Global program is not a scam. In fact most programs (WPP/Imperial/HCI) are at the closing/payout mode.

and also, how long do we think there going to keep posting and making contact until we find out officially its a scam. You cant blame people for keeping faith until GPP are no more. This is why Im still sympothising with these people. There hanging on to hope, which was what I was once doing.

So cards, I am now changing my views on GPP, I am losing all faith, but can I just ask, with your previous “GPP” thing you went into, did it have a website, if so, did it keep disappearing and reappearing? How different was it to the one that is going on now? Surely, they’ve it more, errmmm, how do I put it…believable with the website, forum, login details verification. Do you know what I mean?

Cards speaks sense- but no matter how many people speak against GPP there will be the core faithful waiting for their dreams to come true.

If It Walks Like A Duck: You are not going to get any updates. All you will receive is an acknowledgement you filed a complaint. IC3 will pass your complaint to the proper agency for handling. The IC3 link is a clearing house for all the government agencies.

Law Enforcement will not tell you if an investigation is ongoing or not, nor will they update you. The only way they will contact you is if they need additional information from you to support your complaint. If you do hear back, it will probably be from the agency IC3 referred your complaint too, not from IC3.

Glad you filed, but don’t be expecting a reply on how, or if, an investigation is being conducted. Hope this helped.

If you click on my name it will bring you to the MMG forum where I started exposing about GPP scam since 2008. People refuse to believe it’s a scam and they continued to believe GPP is going to make everybody millionaires overnight by the end of 2007. Or early 2008. Then by the end of 2008. Or early 2009. Then by the end of 2009. Or early 2010.. you see the pattern. The simple truth is, they NEVER plan to pay out because everything they say they are doing, they just aren’t. It’s a LONG CON, simple as that.
