I’ve recently received several emails about this one. It’s called the “Global Pension Plan” and promises to help you turn €30 into €55,000 or more!
I got the following email and decided to look into it:
“Hi Ben
Could you be kind enough to look into this opportunity for me, what’s your opinon on this one, sounds too good to be true!….has it got scam written all over it? it was passed on to me by friend.
thanks for your time
Phil”
Well, I had a good look at the site and tried to find out who is behind it and what is going on.
Rather than take up space here, please visit the main site:
Global Pension Plan - Is it a Scam?
Once you’ve read the report there, please feel free to comment on this blog or send me an email to the usual address.
Thanks,
Ben

*UPDATE 13/11/2008* - I’ve had a few problems with the blog over the past 24 hours which resulted in a restore from backup. Consequently you may find some rogue symbols dotted around the place - especially where there used to be a € or £ sign. Apologies for this but there are far too many for me to correct!
*UPDATE 22/12/2008* - Just for fun: The Global Pension Plan - Stella’s Updates
*UPDATE 16/06/2009* - Now that Stella is gone or dead or whatever - she’s not writing the updates in any case - let’s just remind ourselves of when the final date for GPP is (from the official site):
“20th of November, 2008
Deadline & General updateThe Final Deadline: 31st of January 2009
During the last week and half we have been closely in touch with the insurance company and the financier of this project and agreed the final deadline to be set on the above mentioned date. The current turbulent financial climate has created a great pressure to finish the program as soon as possible. This date is absolute and means, that we MUST reach the initially set target of 100.000 qualified members. Otherwise the program closes without payout.”
Note that Stella said “this date is absolute” so it was surprising when the new ‘admin’ posted this:
“10th of May, 2009
UpdateDear Global Pension Plan Members,
As per Trust Partner’s decision, we hereby announce the final closing date of Global Pension Plan: 06/30/2009 That is the 30th of June 2009.
The current number of fully qualified members is only slightly short of the 100.000 limit.
Trust Partner highly appreaciates your efforts and sends you best wishes and luck for the last month and a half.
Sincerely,
Admin”
*UPDATE 26/10/2009* - Apologies for the problems with the blog over the weekend. A new plugin caused the issues. All should be back to normal now…

Rubbish!!
Are you not reading the last sentence of this article.
GPP-story-Topi are suspected to have issued an Hulmin guilty of the crimes, because they see their activities as legitimate.
Comment by Manasa – March 8, 2010 @ 2:05 am
Seems they would still take your money if you should happen to sign up a new member or buy additional policies. How can that be? (tongue in cheek)…….

I doubt you’ll be seeing any more updates other than in the news.
Comment by UnFinnished – March 7, 2010 @ 6:49 pm
nope, neither did I Faye!
I DO understand that there is still no update though?
Comment by random passer by – March 6, 2010 @ 12:31 pm
First article is saying that the police in Finland had identified one person associated with GPP and had sought to have their assets frozen through the courts. It also mentions that they seem to have a line on others involved. It’s an automated translation from Finnish so it doesn’t read as well as it might.
Second article says that the court did in fact freeze the assets.
Comment by UnFinnished – March 6, 2010 @ 4:25 am
I still dont really understand that other persons update…below 2 spaces.
Comment by Faye – March 5, 2010 @ 6:07 pm
I’m sorry for those who thought February 28 was THE DAY. Maybe you’d remember this the next time you are waiting for their “updates”.
And not only late, the still upcoming update will only bring you more broken promises.
No payout.

Billy,
I thought maybe there was a new update from them by the way people were talking on this website on the previous page.
Since I am not a member, I have no log on info, so I cant check for myself. It didnt ask for a log on before.
So, there wasnt a new update other than the January 8th one?
Comment by IF IT WALKS LIKE A DUCK.. – March 2, 2010 @ 8:04 pm
Andy : Actually a light year is a measure of distance, not time.
As for “hope for GPP” : that’s just lying to yourself. If you keep and keep expecting GPP to pay you, it will devastate you even more when they don’t, ever. Don’t say nobody tried to burn you.
Comment by Cards – March 2, 2010 @ 6:31 pm
Yeah i know it seams light year away but since we OBVIOUSLY
have made a deposit of any sice you and me we might aswell belive or hope……
Comment by Andy – March 2, 2010 @ 10:31 am
Andy, the thing that makes me sure that GPP is a scam is history and experience. You asked me what I was going to say when GPP closed and started paying people on 2/28. Well 2/28 has come and gone and people are still waiting for money to start falling from the sky. When I joined GPP almost five years ago, I was told that payouts were going to start in a couple of months. That was years ago and they are still singing the same tune. Scam.

What else has changed GPP in your website?
Comment by Billly – March 1, 2010 @ 6:14 pm
Awww, GPP changed something on their website, I can no longer access the posting page using the final step address. I had it saved in my favorites, and was able to pull it up, but now it wants a password and log on.
Can someone copy and paste their latest Update for me please?
